It’s time for one of the most popular winter events in Haute-Savoie. As of 10 a.m. on Monday, October 5, tickets for the BMW IBU Biathlon World Cup in Le Grand-Bornand are on sale. From Thursday, December 10 to Sunday, December 13, 2026, the world’s top biathletes will take to the tracks at the Sylvie-Becaert Stadium, in the heart of the Aravis, for six races. And, as every year, tickets are likely to sell out fast.

Le Grand-Bornand, a biathlon stronghold
Following 2013, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025, the Haute-Savoie resort is once again hosting the World Cup, confirming its status as an unmissable stop on the circuit. The 2025 edition left fans with great memories: the men’s sprint was the closest in biathlon history, with six athletes finishing within less than nine seconds of one another. The season ended with Frenchman Éric Perrot winning the big Crystal Globe. All of which promises an electric atmosphere in the stands this December.
How do you get to the stadium?
Traffic in the valley is very heavy during the event, so special World Cup shuttle buses will run from December 10 to 13. Visitors are strongly encouraged to use them instead of driving. Timetables and departure points are available on the event’s official website.
